PASTOR JOHNSON'S 4TH SUNDAY MESSAGE 7/26/2015

"In the Light is Everlasting Life"

Pastor Johnson’s sermon came from Job 24:13-24, Ephesian 5:5-21, and 1 John 1:4-10.  The topic was “In the Light is Everlasting Life” with the following subtopics:

 “The Despair of the Darkness”

Some people rebel against the light of God’s world. They do not want to hear it. We wait until dark so no one can see us doing wrong. He will bless you for doing well and curse you when you are wrong. We all have sinned. Those who die in sin will soon be forgotten; even by your Mother. You cannot get away with sin. God will judge. You cannot hide from God.

“Receiving Light”

No whoremonger, no unclean person, no covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ. When you are disobedient to God, you will have this wrath on him and not his love. You have to be connected to God through Jesus Christ to receive your blessings. Get from around evilness. Let no man deceive you. We have all been in darkness. Walk in the light. Fruit of the Spirit is goodness, righteousness and truth. They are all acceptable to the Lord. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness and correct them. What is done in the dark will come in the light.  Don’t be a sleeper – one that comes to church but don’t care what they do outside the church. Don’t be a fool saying there is no God. Give God first priority in your life. Walk with Jesus. Thank God for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 “Confessing Sins Walking with JESUS”

Your joy may be full in Jesus. God is light and no darkness is in Him at all. We need God; God does not need us. God wants you to be Holy by walking closely with Him. God wants to see you live that Christian life and not just come to church. Recognize where you are. Know that you are a sinner and be true to yourself. Confess your sins and repent. God will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
