Pastor Johnson’s sermon came from Jeremiah 20:7-11, 2 Corinthians 3:3-11, Hebrews 9:8-15 and John 16:12-15. The topic was “The Fire, The Plan, The Spirit” with the following subtopics:

 “The Burning Desire”

People sometime do not like the messages from God; but we cannot quit. If you are a true Christian, you cannot hold it. You have to give them the Word of God. Be involved with real Christians. Have a burning desire to tell someone about God no matter what.

“The Salvation”

Power and success come from God only. We should not take credit for anything. The Holy Spirit has to be inside of you. It is the spirit that goes to the Kingdom of God. An evil spirit goes to Satan. The Holy Spirit must be sincere. 1 Corinthians 1:24 explains the Gentiles think the word of God is nonsense.  You are saved by faith and not by works. The Holy Spirit makes you want to do what is right. Your heart changes when you meet God. The building that contains your Holy Spirit will leave you; but you will get a new building not made by mans’ hands if you’re right with God.

“Through the Spirit”

We still have the old system in the church. For an example, women are not allowed in some pulpits. Only certain people belong in the pulpit. All that are Christians can come to the pulpit. It tells us in Galatians 3, we do not need laws; now that Christ has come, we have the Holy Spirit. Your heart has to be clean. People had to keep the old laws and rules until Christ come with a new and better way. Seek and search the scripture to find what God want us to do and apply it to your life. When you have the Holy Spirit in your heart abiding in you, it will make us want to do the right thing. With God’s new agreement, God promised us eternal life.

"A Deeper Understanding"

It it so much more in the Bible to understand. The Holy Spirit will guide you and He will tell you about the future. God came down from His throne, took off His Glory and came down to earth to save us.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
