Pastor Johnson’s message came from Exodus 9:20-21, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Galatians 5:16-26, Revelation 22: 3, 12-14, Revelation 20:11-12, Psalm 37:18, and Hebrews 11:6. The subject was “Don’t Play. God’s Word is Serious” with the following subtopics:

Those officials of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord hurried to bring their slaves and their livestock inside. But those who ignored the word of the Lord left their slaves and livestock in the field. Throughout Egypt hail struck everything in the fields both people and animals; it beat down everything growing in the fields and stripped every tree.

Don’t you know that those doing such things have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who live immoral lives, who are idol worshipers, adulterers or homosexuals, will have no share in his Kingdom. Neither will thieves or greedy people, drunkards, slanderers, or robbers. There was a time when some of you were just like that but now your sins are washed away, and you are set apart for God; and he was accepted you because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you. Have You Been Washed?

I advise you to obey only the Holy Spirit’s instructions. He will tell you where to go and what to do, and then you won’t always be doing the wrong things your evil nature wants you to. For we naturally love to do evil things that are just the opposite from the things that the Holy Spirit tells us to do; and the good things we want to do when the Spirit has his way with us are just the opposite of our natural desires. These tow forces within us are constantly fighting each other to win control over us, and our wishes are never free from their pressures. When you are guided by the Holy Spirit, you need no longer force yourself to obey Jewish laws. But when you follow your own wrong inclinations, your lives will produce these evil results; impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, spiritism (that is, encouraging the activity of demons), hatred and fighting, jealousy and anger, constant effort to get the best for yourself, complaints and criticisms, the feeling that everyone else is wrong except those in your own little group and there will be wrong doctrine, envy, murder, drunkenness, wild parties and all that sort of thing. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Have you been washed? But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control: Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit’s power, let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Then we won’t need to look for honors and popularity, which lead to jealousy and hard feelings. Have you been washed?

And I saw a great white throne and the one who sat upon it, from whose face the earth and sky fled away, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, great and small, standing before God; and The Books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to the things written in the Books, each according to the deeds he had done. Outside are the dogs (the godless, the impure, those of low moral character) and the sorcerer’s (with their intoxicating drugs, and magic arts), and the immoral persons (the perverted, the molesters, and the adulterers), and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying (deception, cheating). Have you been washed?

Day by day the Lord observes the good deeds done by godly men, and gives them eternal rewards. You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely look for him. Have you been washed in the blood of the lamb?

Read the scriptures and be blessed!
