NOTES FROM PASTOR JOHNSON'S 4TH SUNDAY MESSAGE (01/24/2016)

"TRUSTING THE LORD"

Pastor Johnson’s sermon came from Malachi 3:6-12, Proverbs 3:3-10, and Luke 12:27-37.  The topic was “Trusting the Lord” with the following subtopics:

 “Trust”

Learn to trust the Lord. Be obedient to the Lord. We have robbed him in tithes and offerings. If we bring our tithes and offerings, He will bless us with what we need. We are saying we trust Him to meet our needs. Everyone will see God in you because they will see the blessings. Tithing is a spiritual level and you have to get there with the help of the Lord.

“The Word of God”

Always be willing to forgive because God forgave you. We as Christians should have no place for hate in our hearts. To be like Jesus, is to forgive. Do what God says and find favor and understanding in Him. Trust in the Lord with all thine hear; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Always acknowledge God (His ways and directions) and He will direct your paths. Honor the Lord with your possessions (tithes). He will in turn give you more.

 “For Faith and Direction”

If the Lord take care of the grass and the fields, how much more will he clothe (take care) of you. Have faith. Seek the kingdom and get Jesus in your heart. Focus on heavenly things and not earthly things. This life will come to an end. Trust that God is on your side and don’t worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow belongs to the Lord. We must learn to trust God.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
