NOTE FROM PASTOR JOHNSON'S 1ST SUNDAY MESSAGE (November 1, 2015)

Posted by: Shirley Smith on Mon, Nov 2, 2015

"GOD'S WORD! WATCH! TELL!"

Pastor Johnson’s sermon came from Ezekiel 33:6-13, Ephesians 5:5-11, and 2 Timothy 3:12-17.  The topic was “GOD’S WORD! WATCH! TELL!” with the following subtopics:

 “You are a Watchman”

It is your responsibility to tell others when you see the sword (Word of God) come. When you hear the Word of God, you should warn others of his wicked ways. The Lord holds us accountable. Lord wants everyone to take the word out. God do not wish anyone to perish or be put to death. No matter how much righteousness you have done, if you commit iniquity now; you will not live. Your righteousness is no good. It is God’s righteousness that matter.  God gives us the opportunity to turn from our sins. He knows we all have sinned. If you continue in your sin, you will surely die. Turn from your sins and you will live eternally.

“Do Not Be Fooled”

No fornicator, unclean person, no covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ. No matter how much you want this, God say this is wrong. Let no one deceive you with empty words. Do not follow the crowd. If they are wrong, let them be wrong by themselves. Do what is right and God will protect you. Walk as children in the light. Do not hide anything. Goodness, righteousness and truth should be a part of your Christian character. This is what is acceptable unto the Lord.

 “Live Godly Lives”

Friends may not like you when you are trying to do right. A man of God is to teach you how to live a godly life. Salvation through faith is being saved from your sins for eternal life. The Bible makes us realize where we are, straighten us out, and help us to do what is right. We cannot do it alone but with the Holy Spirit. Only through and by the Bible (goodness, righteousness, and truth) can you be complete.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
