Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)

Refusing to forgive someone is like getting trapped in a maze of bitterness and resentment that stunts our spiritual growth and infects all areas of our life. Even simply neglecting a family relationship can steal our joy and peace. If we sense a prompting to take the first step toward reconciliation, it's a gift from God. yes, we'll feel awkward or fearful reaching ut, wondering if our efforts will be rebuffed. yes, we do risk getting hurt. But Jesus will give us the ability to forgive if we ask for His help. And who knows what chain reaction of grace our obedience might set off? - DIANNE NEAL MATTHEWS

Faith Step: Ask Jesus to reveal anyone you need to reach out to for reconciliation. Trust Him to give you the courage to take the first step and the wisdom to speak the right words.
