"DELIVER ME"
Pastor Johnson’s message came from Psalm 18:48-49; Psalm 32:7-11; Romans 7:14-22, 24-25, Romans 4:4-8, 18-22, 24-25, and Psalm 34:4-9. The subject was DELIVER ME with the following subtopics:
“Showing Appreciation”
He rescues me from my enemies; Yes, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You deliver me from the man of violence. Therefore will I give thanks and praise You, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to Your name. Giving Credit to God
“Shouting For Joy”
You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Do not be like the horse or like the mule which have no understanding. Whose trappings include bridle and rein to hold them in check, otherwise they will not come near you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in and relies on the Lord shall be surrounded with compassion and loving-kindness. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; Shout for joy, all you upright in heart.
“The Conflict of Two Natures”
We know that the Law is spiritual, but I am a creature of the flesh, sold into slavery to sin, waging war against the law of my mind and subduing me and under its control. For I do not understand my own actions. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness-my sinful capacity. Now if I habitually do what I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but the sin which lives in me. For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the willingness to do good is present in me, but the doing of good is not. For the good that I want to do, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do now want to do, I am no longer the one doing it, but the sin nature which lives in me. So I find it to be the law of my inner self that evil is present in me, the one who want s to do good. Have you been true to Yourself. For I joyfully delight in the law of God in my inner self with my new nature, wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will set me free from this body of death? Thanks be to God for my deliverance through Jesus Christ our Lord! The Evaluation, the Results, the Solution
“He Who Delivers”
Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works. Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them. Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of man nations, just as it had been said to him, so shall your offspring be. Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead-since he was about a hundred years old and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why it was credited to him as righteousness. But also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness-for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Do U Believe???
“Seek the Lord for Deliverance”
I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant; their faces will never blush in shame or confusion. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He rescues each of them. O taste and see that the Lord is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him. O fear the Lord, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no want. Have U Tried Him???
