"THE HOPE OF THE GOSPEL"

Pastor Johnson’s message came from Matthew 27:46-54, Luke 20:27-38, Acts 10:34-43, Revelation 20:11-15, and Philippians 3:10-11. The topic was “The Hope of the Gospel” with the following subtopics:

“Facts of Resurrection”

When the bystanders heard Jesus call, “My God”, they thought he was calling for Elijah. Jesus gave up his spirit. The spirit left his body. It could not contain him anymore. The bodies of many saints who died were raised. They appeared to many in the holy city. This was truly God’s son. Jesus came to give you salvation and hope.

“Is There a Resurrection”

There is life after resurrection. God is able take you from one place to another. You have to spend your eternity in heaven or hell. Make sure you are a child of God and able to say this. You will get immortality if you are worthy of the resurrection. You have to be in a definite relationship with Him.

 “For Those Who Believe”

God does not show favoritism in dealing with people. Everyone that fears Him and does what is right is welcomed before Him. The Good News is Jesus Christ came to save us from our sins. God commanded us to preach to the people and to warn them that he is the one appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead. It is how you live while on this Christian journey will determine if you get into the Kingdom.

“The Great White Throne”

John saw a white throne, the one seated on it, and the dead. The books were opened and book of life opened. The dead were judged by what was written in the books according to their deed. Deeds meaning fully committed to Jesus. If anyone’s name was not found in the Book of Life, that person was thrown in the lake of fire.

“Why We Are Told”

Become more acquainted with Jesus and the power of His resurrection. Share in the fellowship of His sufferings. Must Jesus bear the cross alone? We need to be just like Jesus. You must change the inside to reflect the outside. Stand for something or fall for anything. Stand for Jesus. Our desire is to be raised from the dead and live eternally.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
