"Sacrifice to Holy Living"

Pastor Johnson’s sermon came from Psalm 4:3-5, Romans 12:1-2, 1 Peter 2:5-12, and 2 Peter 3:11-14. The topic was “Sacrifice the Holy Living” with the following subtopics:

 “Being Set Apart”

You have two sides; the godly and ungodly. If you are going to walk the light, you have to be godly. God will hear the godly when they call. The prayers of the righteous availeth much. The prayer of the ungodly does not do anything unless you repent. If you want God to hear you; sin not. The Lord set apart the godly. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and not unrighteousness. Walk in the light of righteousness and not in the dark of unrighteousness.

“To Be Holy”

God is begging you to control your thoughts and tongue so your bodies by God’s mercies can be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. Being holy make you love your enemies, pray for them, and turn the other cheek. We must be forgiving and forbearing. We must be just like Jesus. Do not think like the world but be transformed (change) by renewing the mind. You have to prove what is good and acceptable to God.  We have to put on the perfect will of God. Know this will by studying His Word.

“Unto God”

As a Christian God expects you to live His Words so that others may see Him in you. Live a holy life that is acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. You need Jesus Christ to help you. Do not be comfounded by other religions. Study for yourself. If you don’t accept the Word of God; it will be offensive to you and you do not want to hear it.  This will cause you to stumble. Some of God’s words are difficult to accept. This is when you pray and ask Jesus to help you to overcome obstacles. We are a chosen few who God has called out of the darkness to walk in the light. We have to live so all can see Jesus abiding in us.

“Until the End”

Before your life comes to an end; you need to be recognized as holy. This earth’s tabernacle will be dissolved. We will look for a new heaven where only righteousness will dwell.  You must be living a holy and godly life. No unrighteousness will be there. Keep yourself holy on this side. Be diligently in peace and blameless. Study God’s words to see how to be blameless and live a righteous life.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
