NOTES FROM PASTOR JOHNSON'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE 12.25.17

Posted by: Shirley Smith on Wed, Dec 27, 2017

"THIS MORNING'S JOY"

Pastor Johnson’s message came from Luke 2:1-20, John 3:34-36, and Romans 8:3-4. The topic was “This Morning's Joy” with the following subtopics:

 “Jesus is Born”

Mary gave birth to her Son, her firstborn. They did not have room for Him in the inn. Do you have room in your heart for Jesus? God shined a light from heaven and they were afraid. Never be afraid of the super natural. The angel told them to not to be afraid for I bring you good news of great joy for all people. A Savior was born for us. We all were born in sin and needed a Savior. There is a multitude of heavenly host praising God and saying Glory to God. Tell somebody what God has done for you. Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem is the greatest gift of all. Glorify and Praise God for all He has done.

“Sent by God”

All power was given to Jesus. All that believe and trust in the Son will receive eternal life. Those who reject will not see eternal life and the wrath of God hangs over Him continuously.

“To Help Us Overcome Sin”

If it wasn’t for Jesus where would we be? God sent His own Son in human as an offering for our sin. The Word became flesh and came through the womb of a woman as an example of how we should live. The greatest gift is the joy we received through Jesus Christ.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
