PASTOR JOHNSON'S 1ST SUNDAY SERMON (Oct 4, 2015)

Posted by: Shirley Smith on Mon, Oct 5, 2015

"PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE"

Pastor Johnson’s sermon came from Genesis 1:1-16,26-31, John 1:1-14, and Revelation 20:11-15.  The topic was “Past, Present, and Future” with the following subtopics:

 “The Creation”

In the beginning God created heaven and earth. The earth was without form. There was water everywhere. Spirit of God moved upon the face of waters. God created light and darkness. God took a portion of what He needed in the water and bent it in place where we can live. God made a firmament for Heaven. He made the water separate in one place and dry land appeared. God called the dry land earth and the waters seas. God made the grass and the fruit trees. God put everything in place for us. God said let us make man in our (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) image. He created man and female in his image. He blessed them and gave them dominion over the fish, fowl, and animals. He said to them to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.

“The Salvation”

In the beginning was God’s Word. There is righteousness and love in the Word of God. We know He loves us because He made a place for us. In God life was the light of men. Light represents righteousness. Darkness represents sins. Let your light shine in the darkness.  Those that were born, not of blood, nor of the flesh (Mom and Dad), nor of the will of man, but of God became children of God. God was made flesh and dwelt among us full of grace and truth. God’s grace and mercy will forgive you of all your sin if you repent. All your sins will be cast in the sea of forgiveness.

 “The Judgement”

Know that your name is written in the Book. You have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. You must stand before God. He is coming to judge and not to save anymore. The Book of Life was opened and the dead were judged according to their works (faith). Whoever was not written in the Book of Life was cast into the fire. It is our responsibility to have your name in the Book of Life. When you stand before God, there is nothing to say. No grace and mercy at this time. It is all over. Jesus can to earth to save us. This is His main objective. He left His Word to tell us how to treat one another. Accept it now or reject it on the other side. Purge all evilness out of your heart. Make sure your name is written in the Lamb Book of Life and stays there.

Please read the scriptures and be blessed!
