"OBEY GOD'S WORDS"

Pastor Johnson’s message came from Exodus 20:1-17, Psalm 89:31-32, and Romans 13:1-8. The subject was “Obey God’s Words”. Below are some notes from his message:

God brought you of out of sin. Sin is bondage and you cannot come out of it alone. You shall have no other God before him. Put nothing before God. Commit no iniquities (committing a sin knowing it is wrong). The responsibility of the next generation is upon us. If you love God, you will keep His commandments; if you do not you will hate Him. Thou shall not take the Lord name in vain. Honor thy Father and Mother. Thou shall not kill (commit murder), thou shall not commit adultery. We do not have options. Our only option is to obey God. God will chastise us. God have the options to kill us now if we do not obey His commandments or let us live hoping we will change. Thou shall not covet our neighbor’s house. We should not have envy of someone’s house or want to sleep with your neighbor’s spouse, or have what belongs to your neighbor.

God is giving you the opportunity to obey His words. If you are not right, God will deal with you. God will visit their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with stripes.

Be subjected to the government. You have to obey the laws of the land. The laws are put in place by God. When you resist the government laws, you are resisting God. Government (police) is sent by God to help and protect you. Obey the law to keep from being punished and because you know you should obey. Pay your taxes. If it a job to try to live a holy life, but is it is not impossible.

Read the scriptures and be blessed!
